"I left the herb workshop with: Detailed notes on two dozen highly beneficial herbs; personal acquaintance with these herbs after smelling and tasting them; several jars of tea blends I mixed myself, that focus on physical and mental issues important to me; a desire to grow, learn about, and use more herbs. I'm eager for Mary's workshops. I know they will be fun as well as informative."
Prana Rasa exists to:
Ayurveda is the oldest recorded healing science, having been practiced in India since the 10th Century B.C.E.
It is a complete system of prevention and treatment based in Samkhya Hindu philosophy, including yoga. Ayurveda means science of life in Sanskrit and its aim is to attune body, mind and consciousness.
Prana means life force or universal energy; it is sometimes said to originate from the sun and to connect everything in the universe. Rasa means juice in Sanskrit, in Indian aesthetics it means essence. Rasa is the first tissue created in the body from our food. All other bodily tissues develop from rasa.
